Hmmm, realistically I think a few of those are unachievable given that I still have so many places to visit on the list and a two year old in tow! With that is mind I think I will update/amend a couple of the location based ones for things that are more toddler friendly (New York is staying though- I will get there in 2012). I'll get my thinking cap on.

Seriously Neglected Blog....

Well, after a year without blogging I am back.

Reason for abscence...I had a baby 15 weeks ago so I have achieved number 1 on my list and it is the best thing I have ever done. Being pregnant and having a baby totally takes over your mind and life, hence my abscence but it was so, so worth it.

Henry was born on 19th November 2009, at term+15 days (which is unusually late) and with the help of an emergency caesarian. But he is a model baby, and absolute joy and I think I am the luckiest person alive.

Whoop, whoop...23 minutes 35 seconds

Well I ran my 5km in well under 25 minutes- 23 minutes 35 seconds to be precise which I am delighted with. Absolutely loving the running at the moment- I am so thrilled to be back into it. I'm aiming for 3 gym visits per week plus an outside run. Fingers crossed that this will gradually move me towards my be ten stone something goal.

5km in under 25 minutes

Okay, so this one is going suprisingly well. Yesterday I did 5km in 26 minutes, 10 seconds so not far off the elusive 25 min. I definitely think this is going to be the first one to get a big fat tick- back to the gym tomorrow to really go all out and see if I can improve it further. So pleased I have rediscovered my love of running- I'm thinking the 10km in under an hour is going to be this year too although I'd like to do that one in a race rather than just on my own.

Progress so far

Okay, the progress so far is minimal. I have signed up for this year's race for life which gives me a further push to run 5km in under 25 minutes. I'm also on the lookout for a 10km later in the year.

Next on my list is to book a stay in Cardiff- possibly in my week off in March. I fancy St David's Hotel and spa in Cardiff Bay so will investigate any bargain deals for that.
